As an in-house editor, I specialised in crime and thrillers but I love working on all types of commercial fiction, from sweeping historical novels to twisty psychological suspense, from heartwarming romance to atmospheric police procedurals.   • A full read through of your manuscript

  • A detailed editorial letter that covers plot, characterisation, structure, consistency and style 

  • A marked up manuscript, highlighting specific passages, examples and suggestions for next steps

  • A one-hour video call to discuss the feedback and for you to ask any follow-up questions (or an email exchange if you’d prefer!)

Query Package Review

  • I’ll read through the first 10,000 words of your manuscript, your query letter and your synopsis and assess them to make sure they’re in the best possible condition.

  • I’ll provide detailed feedback and suggestions to you perfect your pitch for your novel and polish your synopsis and query letter.
